Bob specializes in bankruptcy, debt restructuring and business reorganization. His engagements include the representation of the Attorneys General of the United States in mass tort cases including the chapter 11 case of Manville Corporation; and numerous New England real estate developers including Boston’s largest property owner in a multi-court, $750 million debt restructuring.
Bob has appeared in federal and state courts in the New England states and elsewhere, and has been a state court receiver and counsel to bankruptcy trustees and creditors’ committees. He served as a federal bankruptcy judge for the District of Massachusetts during 2005-2008. Bob also arbitrates and mediates individual and corporate business disputes.
Bob has served as a law firm managing partner and as a business advisor to the boards of various clients. He has taught at the Boston University Law School and at numerous continuing legal education programs.
Admitted to practice in Massachusetts in January 1977. Also admitted to practice before the First Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Bob is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy.
