Josh ZakimOf Counsel
Josh is a member of the firm’s Corporate Department. His practice focuses on representing middle-market companies in general corporate and finance matters.
Josh was elected to the Boston City Council on November 5, 2013. He represents District 8, which includes the neighborhoods of the Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Fenway, Kenmore Square, Mission Hill and the West End. On the City Council, Josh chairs the Committee on Housing and Community Development. Seen as a progressive voice on Boston's City Council, Josh continues to advocate for policies that promote social and economic justice, including improving access to Boston’s public schools, fair housing, and workers’ rights.
Prior to joining Posternak, Josh worked at Mintz Levin, where he focused on public finance. Before that, he worked at Greater Boston Legal Services where he represented working families facing the loss of their homes to foreclosure at the hands of predatory lenders.
